How to Control Excess Flash On Plastic Products

Flashes on products amounts to loss and time wastage.
If a product comes out of a machine with flash all over it, it gives it an ugly and unpresentable outlook.
flashes are normally trimmed out of the product, before supply.
There are a number of ways to control flashes on products.
1. Clamp the mould:
IF your machine has not reached its farward limt, slightly increase mould advance, then check for changes.
2.Reduce first injection pressure:
Normally, the first injection is asigned the highest pressure, and thus play an important role in filling a product.if you reduce it, you reduce the force at which the material is pushed into the mould, cutting down the flash.for non PLC machine, reduce their injection limit.
3. Reduce charging limit(End) And injection.
4.Temperature.
Reducing the hoper and barrel temperature is one crude way i use in controlling excess flash on products.
While you reduce the temperatures make sure it does'nt fall bellow the acceptable range,if it does, you could do the screw serious damage.
Any of these methods will work for you.
Reduce plastic wast and maximize time.
